
Prohibited and restricted items
Spectators are allowed to take one bag each into Alexander Stadium. Your bag will need to fit under your seat, should not exceed A3 size (29.7cm x 42cm), and must be open for inspection at the stadium entry points. There are no bag storage facilities at the stadium.
Spectators are also allowed to bring water bottles (500ml and under) into the stadium. Free water refill stations are available. Refillable bottles and souvenir bottles will be available to purchase at the stadium.
Please read the list of prohibited and restricted items carefully. Our security team reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items brought into Alexander Stadium.

The following articles must not be brought within the stadium grounds:

Unlicensed musical instruments: trumpets, drums, and other devices capable of
causing a disturbance or nuisance, including vuvuzelas and megaphones -
Flag poles greater than 1m in length

Laser devices

Glass vessels (including perfume bottles)

Please note, flasks, hard/soft plastic, and metal bottles (500ml or under) are allowed to
be brought into the stadium - these can be pre-filled, or empty and filled at one of our free
refillable water stations located inside the stadium. Limited to one per person. -
Poles

Frisbees
-
Scooters
-
Skateboards or other skates
-
Signs or items with corporate or inappropriate branding

Unauthorised fliers and drones

Spray paint

Large industrial style ‘permanent’ marker pens

Large bodied cameras, professional cameras and recording devices with a lens larger
than six inches (this applies to cameras that have interchangeable lenses).-
This does not apply to accredited media.

Large umbrellas (small umbrellas are not permitted to be used in the stands if they obscure the view of other spectators)

Any person in possession of a restricted item, will be refused entry.
Camera restrictions
We understand that amateur photography is part of the enjoyment of live athletics. Taking photos and filming footage is allowed but it must be for personal use only.
The following restrictions are also in place:

Only mobile phones, mobile phone power packs, personal use cameras or lenses of no more than 30cm in length will be allowed

Cameras and accompanying camera bags no bigger than 30cm x 20cm

The maximum lens length permitted is six inches. If you have a lens length that extends beyond six inches, you must keep to this length as a maximum so to not block the view of other spectators. Failure to do so will result in potential ejection from the event.

Professional and broadcast equipment, including tripods and monopods, are not allowed in the spectator areas, except for use by accredited media.

Video camcorders and audio equipment are not permitted in the spectator areas

iPads, binoculars and accompanying carry cases are permitted
Prohibited items – illegal to possess

Dangerous or hazardous items

Any article that might be used as a weapon, be deemed as offensive or abusive
and/or compromise public safety
Any person in possession of a prohibited item, will have the item confiscated and will be refused entry and reported to the police.
